External services
This plugin connects to the Semple API (api.semple.io) to deploy your generated static site archive.
When a deployment is triggered by the user, the plugin securely transmits the generated ZIP file of your static site to the Semple API. This service is provided by Trize Inc. (website: Semple): Terms of Service, Privacy Policy.
Installation
- Upload the
semple-deployfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Click on the “Semple Deployer” menu item in the WordPress admin sidebar.
- Click “Start Build” to compile your static site and download the ZIP archive for free.
- (Optional) Enter your Semple API Key and Site ID to enable 1-click deployments to your Semple edge workspace.

No. Semple Sites Deploy utilizes an asynchronous micro-batch pipeline. It crawls pages and downloads assets in sequential micro-batches over AJAX, avoiding PHP execution timeouts and reverse-proxy gateway timeouts (504 / 524).

Does it support visual builders like Elementor, Divi, and Gutenberg?

Yes. Because the crawler renders the final HTML output of your site, it captures all compiled CSS, scripts, Google fonts, and media assets generated by Gutenberg blocks, Elementor, Divi, and other visual page builders.

Does it support Custom Post Types (CPTs)?

Yes. All publicly queryable post types (pages, posts, portfolios, custom post types) are automatically discovered and exported into clean static routes.

What happens to /wp-content/ and WordPress directory paths?

To enhance security and minimize platform footprint, all internal asset paths are automatically rewritten: uploads become /media/, plugins become /modules/, themes become /assets/, and core scripts become /core/. Standard generator tags and comment forms are also removed.

How do dynamic features like contact forms and search work on static sites?

Static HTML does not run PHP forms or database queries. For contact forms, you can embed third-party serverless form endpoints (such as Formspree, Basin, or Semple Forms). For site search, client-side tools like Pagefind or Algolia can be used.
